A few months ago I saw an ad displayed at the window of a "Nur hier" bakery for soups in a bread bowl and since I am always looking to try out new things, I made a mental note to someday go there with my husband and try some of the soups. I found the idea to not only enjoy the soup, but to eat the bowl too, genius and I have never seen or eaten something like that ever before.
So yesterday, when it started snowing in Hamburg and everything was white and wintery, my husband and I decided that it is the perfect time to have some comfort food and we went to the "Nur hier" bakery on Stephansplatz to try out the soups.
There are three types of soup to choose from: tomato soup, Thai-curry-carrot soup and mushroom soup. Each soup costs 4,95 € and the soups were hearty enough for us to keep us satisfied until dinner.
We had the Thai-curry-carrot soup and the mushroom soup. The mushroom soup is a better choice for those who like more salty soups, while the Thai-curry-carrot soup is more for those who like spicy food.
All in all, it was a really nice experience. I really like the fact that even after more than 5 years in Hamburg there are still so many new things to discover.
